Dr Karim Agha
Dr Karim Agha is a registered specialist prosthodontist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation agency (AHPRA).
He finished his basic dental degree BDS in 1999 from Jordan University of Science and Technology with first degree honours. Karim then became a member of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 2002 and obtained their MFDS RCSI degree. He then pursued further advanced training in the field of Prosthodontics at Melbourne University and was awarded two degrees: Graduate Diploma in Clinical Dentistry (GradDipClinDent) and Doctor of Clinical Dentistry (DCD) in 2006. This 3-year advanced training, together with him clearing all ADEC (Australian Dental Council) examination of overseas trained dentists, qualified him to register as a Specialist Prosthodontist in Australia.
For the past 13 years, Karim has been working as a clinical specialist prosthodontist in Private practice (in Bundoora, Glen Waverley, Moonee Ponds and Frankston) and the Public system (Royal Dental Health Services Victoria and Royal Melbourne Hospital). He established Diamond Dental Group in Bundoora to serve the Northern suburbs and beyond.
Karim is very passionate about teaching . His contribution as a lecturer and educator included teaching at leading Australian Universities (Melbourne University as a Lecturer and LaTrobe University as the Clinical Lead in Prosthodontics). He also lectures in numerous events and conferences conducted by ADA (Australian Dental Association), ITI (International Team for Implantology), AOS (Australian Oseointegration Society), APS (Australian prosthodontic Society), RACDS (Royal Australian college of Dental Surgeons).
Karim is KOL (Key opinion leader) to a number of leading dental companies where he extensively lectures and conducts workshops on advanced dental topics such as Dental implants, Digital Dentistry and advanced imaging techniques.
Karim has numerous affiliations with professional bodies in Dentistry including the Australian Dental Association, International Team for Implantology, Australian Prosthodontic Society, The Academy of Australian and New Zealand Prosthodontists, International College of Prosthodontics, and the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland.
